With rare exceptions, the Supreme Court has always been a regressive institution. Rarely have we seen justices and decisions that are thoughtful and beneficial (and supported by) the American public. This court though is taking harmful decisions to an entirely different level. If you didn’t already think judicial reform was in order, this past week (this whole term actually) has laid that need to bare. Chevon, Trump v the US, EMTALA - it is 100% clear that the maga extremist “justices” have no fealty to the law or constitution. Ignoring all else, the immunity case alone is the blaring example of the dire need for reform. This is a scary time and we need Congress to enact legislation addressing this crisis.
