“Is this the democracy we are supposed to be protecting?” This a comment on a video of police violence on peaceful protesters. A perfect question to ask as we watch students and professors brutalized for asking that their places of education do not profit off of genocide. There are no more universities in Palestine thanks to the terrorist state Israel. Instead of recognizing the legitimate concerns and peaceful actions of those brave people, the administration (and legacy media) call them antisemitic. It is not like we don’t have a problem with antisemitism (and Islamophobia) but clearly police (never) solve problems. Police only serve violence. It is time to sit down and mediate with the protestors. Listen to them. Hear them. Especially while you are asking them to vote for you (to save democracy).
