This reconciliation is contemptible. Do not advance it in any form.

/start resist House Republicans’ hidden provision (H.R. 1 SEC. 70302) to shield government officials from contempt of court citations would cause chaos for our courts and country. No person or branch of government should be above the law. And in its un-American rush to hand Trump king-like powers, this provision would also upend decades of case law impacting personal freedoms, civil rights, election procedures, and more. As your constituent, I urge you to speak out against this provision and to VOTE NO on any bill that includes the House’s reckless and dangerous “No Contempt Clause.” Vote NO on ANY reconciliation bill which redistributes public savings and investments to multiple generations of the wealthy non-taxpayers OR which limits executive accountability & mocks separation of powers by placing the Executive outside of all judicial authority. Stop this speeding train in its tracks. Reinforce public funds for the Public, AND protect judicial oversight of the Executive by ensuring no "No Contempt" clause; not now, not ever.
