Israeli forces continue their relentless assault on Gaza, leaving a trail of death and destruction. The latest reports indicate 46 Palestinians killed and 110 injured in just the last 24 hours, including the horrific bombing of a tent camp designated as a safe zone that claimed 45 lives. This indiscriminate violence against a captive civilian population must end immediately. We call for an immediate cessation of hostilities and the implementation of a comprehensive arms embargo on Israel until it complies with international law and respects Palestinian human rights. Israel's military aggression is enabled by the billions in annual military aid it receives, funds that should be redirected towards diplomacy, human development, and achieving a just peace. Furthermore, we urge divestment from companies and institutions complicit in Israel's oppression of Palestinians and illegal occupation. Through boycotts, divestment, and sanctions, we can pressure Israel to end its violations and work towards a resolution guaranteeing freedom, equality, and self-determination for the Palestinian people. The world cannot remain silent in the face of such atrocities. Concrete action is needed to hold Israel accountable and bring about a just and lasting peace.
