I urge you to condemn these disproportionate actions by Israeli forces and push for an immediate ceasefire and de-escalation of hostilities. Prioritize protecting civilian lives and allowing humanitarian aid to reach those in need. Additionally, press for accountability for any potential war crimes committed during this offensive. A just and lasting resolution can only be achieved through reviving meaningful peace negotiations aimed at ending the occupation and establishing an independent Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders, as outlined in UN resolutions. Continued illegal settlements and unilateral force by Israel undermine prospects for a two-state solution. The United States must use its significant leverage to promote human rights, restart diplomacy, and work towards a comprehensive peace agreement that addresses the root causes of this long-standing conflict. The status quo of oppression and violence is unsustainable. Bold leadership is required to break this vicious cycle and advance a just resolution for all people in the region.
