Keep NOAA fully staffed, must have enough staff to operate 24/7

To: Sen. McCormick, Sen. Collett, Rep. Dean, Pres. Trump, Gov. Shapiro, Rep. Malagari, Sen. Fetterman

The recent termination of around 800 employees at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is deeply concerning. This agency plays a critical role in weather forecasting, monitoring climate change, managing ocean fisheries, and conducting vital research. Firing so many employees, including those involved in hurricane forecasting, weather modeling, and tsunami warning systems, puts lives and property at risk. NOAA requires adequate staffing to fulfill its mission of protecting the public 24/7 from severe weather events and environmental threats. I urge you to reconsider these terminations and ensure NOAA has the resources and personnel needed to carry out its essential work effectively and without interruption.
