Prioritize Diplomacy, Support Ukraine's Sovereignty in Conflict Resolution

To: Rep. Dean, Rep. Malagari, Sen. Fetterman, Sen. McCormick, Gov. Shapiro, Pres. Trump, Sen. Collett

From: A constituent in Lansdale, PA

February 28

The heated exchange between President Trump, Vice President Vance, and President Zelenskyy in the Oval Office raises serious concerns about diplomatic conduct. Demanding gratitude and accusing the Ukrainian leader of running a political campaign reveal a concerning lack of empathy for Ukraine's plight in the ongoing war. President Zelenskyy's country faces immense suffering, and dismissing his perspective is unacceptable. As leaders of the free world, respecting allies and exercising diplomacy should be paramount. A resolution to this devastating conflict requires cooperation, not confrontation. Sustained support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity is crucial for global security and stability. An approach grounded in human rights and the rules-based international order is imperative.
