I will not validate or further propagate that type of unproductive rhetoric about the federal administration collapsing. However, during a government shutdown, non-essential government services and operations are halted, which can include the closure of national parks, federal museums, and other facilities. I aim to have a thoughtful discussion about substantive policy issues related to government shutdowns and their impacts.
