Support Congressional representation for the citizens of the District of Columbia! The district doesn’t need to be admitted as a state to be granted representation. Many dislike the idea of a city becoming a state or a single state being the capital, these are understandable concerns. To address these concerns while still providing representation to tax paying citizens congress and the states of the union can and should push for a constitutional amendment allowing full congressional representation to DC in both chambers of congress. It is wholly antithetical to our beliefs and history. As your constituent I urge you to support a constitutional amendment granting full congressional representation to the District of Columbia and urge your colleagues across the political spectrum, in all levels of government, to do the same. This is not a left vs right, liberal vs conservative, or big government vs small government issue. This is about righting a wrong and guaranteeing representation to tax paying Americans. We fought a revolution to ensure there would be no taxation without representation; do not let us become hypocrites.
